Diary, 1817-1833.

Diary, 1817-1833, almost entirely concerned with activities on Strong's farm in Brooklyn. It contains one-line entries, spaced several days apart, which record planting, butchering, times of blossoming, first frosts, etc. It also records freeing slaves, hiring servants, and such things as epidemics and unusual weather conditions. Strong returned to New York each winter, usually leaving Brooklyn in December and returning in March or April.
